Why We're Here

VetText is a non-profit veterinary bookstore located on the second floor of Colorado State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital (room A219). Our organization was formed more than 35 years ago by Dr. James L. Voss and the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association (SCAVMA). What are we doing now?
  • We are a non-profit. With the money we make, we fund student scholarships. Last year, we gave $4,500 in books and supplies to students who were nominated by their peers.
  • We work to provide the best possible prices on veterinary medical textbooks, instruments and supplies to CSU and the veterinary community. We offer a biannual Elsevier sale where anyone can get popular veterinary titles at 20% off! This is a tremendous savings.
  • We are an entirely student-run organization. We give veterinary students work experience, many in management positions that allow them to gain real life skills for work after school.
